Archery, one of the few sports that has remained unchanged for centuries, is making a big comeback in Australia. Recent research shows participation in archery has risen by 43% in the past five years.
The Collaroy Centre recommends schools in Sydney incorporate archery into their camp programs because, in addition to being in demand from students, it’s also one of the few activities that appeal to any age group. And, it gives kids a great opportunity to work on their concentration and improve mental focus.
An alarming study done by Microsoft found that our attention spans are declining at a rapid rate due to the amount of stimulus from all the new tech gadgets, so archery could be just the thing we need to recapture the next generations attention.
