Opening doors: How The Collaroy Centre supports community camps

At The Collaroy Centre, we believe that every child, family and community group deserves access to experiences that build confidence, connection and joy, no matter their circumstances.

Over the past six months, we’ve invested in that belief by providing discounted programs, practical assistance and sponsorship to community and health-focused organisations doing remarkable work. These groups support children with chronic illness, Aboriginal kids, families living with disability and health-related challenges, and young people who benefit from therapeutic experiences outdoors.

This is core to who we are: a centre committed to inclusion, equity and meaningful impact.

Partnering with organisations making a difference

We’ve proudly supported groups such as:

Children’s Tumour Foundation

Offering children living with genetic tumours a safe and uplifting camp environment to connect with others who understand their journey.

Bush to Beach – Aboriginal Kids Camp

Creating culturally grounded camp experiences that strengthen identity, belonging and connection to Country.

Australian Crohn’s & Colitis Association

Supporting young people navigating chronic illness to participate in community programs that help build confidence and resilience.

Northern Beaches Children’s Occupational Therapy (OT) Programs

Enabling therapeutic outdoor programs that support sensory, social and physical development through nature-based play and activities.

Why this matters

For many of these groups, cost, accessibility and program structure can be major barriers. By offering discounted rates, flexibility, and additional support through our mission budget, we help remove those barriers — ensuring more young people get the opportunity to experience the power of camp.

Every school, church or corporate booking helps extend this support, opening the door to even more life-changing programs.

Together, we create a centre where inclusion is not a slogan, it’s a lived value.
