Bookings Close 1 week prior to the briefing Description: This walk takes Students on a part of the Great North Walk, following the Berowa creek and then onto the banks of the Hawksbury river. Students camp at Croslands reserve one night and the peaceful Jerusalem Bay the next. The hike his a moderately difficult track, testing students map and compass, navigation and camp craft skills. The numerous hills will offer a physical Challenge, but not beyond the level of a silver expedition. There is a compulsory briefing session for all of our journeys to help students to prepare for their journeys. IMPORTANT! Bookings close 1 week prior to the briefing Description: Somersby is a small village located west of Gosford and where we meet to begin the Somersby to Patonga leg of the Great North Walk. The hike passes through a wide variety of terrain from rainforest gully to the sandstone plateau that surrounds the Hawkesbury River before finishing in the fishing village of Patonga. We specifically run both practice and qualifying expeditions separately at this location.
